Applied AI Scientist

What you’ll do

• Architect Evaluation Systems: You will build the frameworks that measure grounding, pedagogical value, and "hallucination" thresholds.
• Optimize Retrieval & Steering: You’ll work on reranking, query transformation, and representation engineering to ensure students get the right information.
• Drive Product Logic: Use data and user feedback to decide where our pipeline needs to evolve.
• Bridge the Gap: Work directly with the rest of the engineering team to move your experiments into production.

You have

• 2+ years professional experience building AI/ML features
• Ingestion and vector DB mastery: You understand chunking strategies, embedding models, and vector database optimization.
• Technical Stack: High-level Python. Experience with tools like LangChain/LlamaIndex, and the ability to build custom orchestration from scratch.
